Mission
- La ressource a pour mission de donner de l'information, de l'assistance et du soutien aux individus qui ont le cancer de la prostate et à leur famille. Elle encourage la recherche sur le cancer de la prostate. - We are a Montreal West Island support group for those who need help dealing with a diagnosis of prostate cancer and coping with the ensuing problems. Our membership meets cancer and coping with the ensuing problems. Becuase of the pandemic we are currently meeting over Zoom.
Objectif
- La ressource a pour objectifs de faire des réunions informatiques et publiques avec invités spécialistes dans le traitement du cancer de la prostate, de donner une variété de pamphlets et de livres informatiques à ces réunions mensuelles, d'acheminer un bulletin sur le cancer de la prostate par la poste et sur Internet gratuitement à tous les deux mois (sauf l'été). - Provide a venue for promoting awareness of prostate cancer through our steering committee members interaction at public gatherings and via monthly presentatons by urologists and other health professionals. We collaborate with local organizations such as the MUHC, the CHUM, Prostate Cancer Support Canada, urologist and oncologists for information and support.
