Please note that a review of the information in this page is underway, as prescribed under the Act to modify the organisation and governance of the health and social services network, in particular by abolishing the regional agencies, which came into effect on April 1, 2015.
The aim of the program is to reduce mortality and serious complications from the flu by offering the population a chance to be vaccinated.
The program is particularly targeted to people with a greater risk of developing complications from the flu and their close relations. We highly recommend that these people get vaccinated.
As part of the program, a vaccination campaign is conducted annually. The next flu vaccination campaign begins on November 1, 2014. Find out where to get vaccinated.
The vaccine is free for some people, including those at a higher risk for developing complications from the flu.
To find out more, please see the list of people eligible for the free component of the program.
